THE OCEANS AND CLIMATE CHANGE

Our oceans moderate climate change with 71% of the worlds surface is covered by oceans. These absorb 1/3 excess green house gas emissions from the atmosphere and capture 90% excess heat from the atmosphere. But the oceans are warming with ocean temperature increased by 0.9C since 1970, leading to Arctic Ice Disintegration, Antarctic Melting, Sea Level Rise & Ocean Acidification.

How will this impact ocean food production? What about sea level rise? What can we do to mitigate and adapt to these effects?
