Geology isn’t just about rocks, though they’re pretty important, it’s about the science of the Earth herself, and that covers a lot of ground. So whether you’re interested in volcanoes, plate tectonics, how rocks form, fossils, astrogeology and so much more, come and dig deeper with us.
Once a month, we’ll meet (via Zoom) for 60–90 minutes of interesting talks and discussion on topics from across the wide field of Geology with many of the speakers being involved in research or working in the field.
Are you ready to join us? If so, register your interest in the group . We meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 10.30 am and aim to finish by 12.00 mid-day. We look forward to seeing you there.
Wherever possible the talks are recorded and the videos posted on my YouTube Geology channel. These are posted as ‘unlisted’ and I send the links to the video and the channel out to members after each meeting.
You may also be interested in some of the discussions held in the Leading Edge, Computer, Climate Crisis, Science and Technology and other Interest Groups. These also offer opportunities for learning and discussion, all free of charge.
