“qualifying trigger” means a loss of self-control had a qualifying trigger if one of the following applies:
(a) person E’s loss of self-control was attributable to E’s fear of serious violence from person V against E or another identified person.
(b) E’s loss of self-control was attributable to a thing or things done or said (or both) which—
i. constituted circumstances of an extremely grave character, and
ii. caused E to have a justifiable sense of being seriously wronged.
(c) E’s loss of self-control was attributable to a combination of the matters mentioned in (a) and (b) above.
