Weird Geology

Geology, so they say, is as old as the hills, but it’s a very broad field, and the planet we call home is blessed with some very odd geological quirks. So why not join us for a grand tour of some of these amazing wonders of nature – from ‘fairy chimneys’ (above) to ice towers, blue lava to the ‘eye’ of the Sahara, and many more besides – in the company of expert guide Mary Garbett (Risborough & District u3a), who also leads the IGO Geology Group, and will shortly be launching a parallel group right here, on u3a Communities.
