SLS – the biggest damp squib ever?

On August 15th at 3pm UK

This gigantic SLS rocket isn’t going to the moon. It’s purpose is to deliver astronauts to the Artemis ‘Gateway’ station in orbit around the moon, but after many failures found during ground testing, leading to at least sixteen delays, it has yet to leave the ground. Actually, the contract to land humans back on the moon’s surface has been given to the Spacex Starship, which has also not been launched in its final full configuration, so this ‘return to the moon’ thing seems to be a bit of a moving target.
