CLIMATE CHANGE & TRANSPORTATION

Transport is a major contributor to climate change. The burning of fossil fuels in vehicles releases greenhouse gases, primarily carbon dioxide, into the atmosphere. Transport-related air pollution can have severe health consequences, including respiratory diseases and premature death. Building roads and infrastructure can lead to habitat loss and fragmentation for wildlife. In this talk we examine how to reduce emissions for cars, trucks, planes and shipping.
