Geoengineering And Climate Change

The Earth is currently heading for a global average temperature rise of 3C above pre-industrial levels by 2100+. This is because emissions of green house gases continue to increase. These temperatures will persist for 1000s years unless carbon dioxide is removed from the atmosphere at scale, or the amount of sunlight reaching the planets surface reduced. Both these geoengineering methods carry unknown risks and require further research.
