Hatshepsut: the Queen who would be King

11 October, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Hatshepsut married her half-brother at the age of 13 or 14 and became Regent to reign in his stead about 6 years later. On her death, after 22 years on the throne, her images were hacked from the walls of her tomb; thus denying her ever-lasting existence beyond the grave. Why?

On Monday 11th of October we spent just 15 minutes describing what we know of her life, and then invited a discussion based on selected readings.
