After many presentations, lots of discussions and one survey the fediverse site u3a.social is now up and running !
- Is open to u3a (and friends) members
- Is running frendica 2024.12
- Supports ActivityPub, OStatus, Diaspora, RSS/Atom and AT protocols .. so plenty of ways to connect to others
- Only a single server, but with nightly 3-2-1 backups
- See u3a-social for the original idea, and u3a-social-update for the update

- My personal fediverse account is plord@u3a.social and bluesky is @plord.u3a.social
- A group created for U3ACommunities computing group at u3acommunitiescomputing@u3a.social … to request to join just follow the group
- Still a new site and I’m sure will need tweaking
